Research project

A research article (paper) must present a viewpoint or make an argument. A research project needs to analyze perspectives. My research work was in the learning area of Computer Applications Technology (CAT). Click here to read about my research article.

Web Portal

A Web Page is a plain-text document which contains special HTML "tags".  An HTML tag is a special word enclosed by "Greater Than" and "Less Than" brackets like this: <font>. Web pages are generally given the file extension .htm.
Web pages can be created and edited in simple text editors, i.e. a Notepad! Click here and explore my new Web Portal on English Home Language Grade 7.

INTERPRETING DATA

Data analysis is used by researchers to assist them with the interpretation of raw information. Data analysis can be used to describe facts, identify patterns and develop explanations for gathered information (data). I used a survey questionnaire to collect information on Access Database 2007 from the B. Ed (Hons) CAT specialization students to detect their knowledge and skills of the program. Click here to view the interpretation of my data analysis.

CREATING A SURVEY IN MICROSOFT WORD

Survey questionnaires present a set of questions to a subject/criteria that with his/her responses will provide data to a researcher. You must plan and design the survey form/questionnaire very carefully. Thus, I created a survey to determine the progress of the B. ed (Hons) students' knowledge and skills of Access Database 2007. Click here to view a survey questionnaire on Access Databse 2007.

ANALYSE AND INTERPRET DATA

Analysis of data

Information sometimes depends on the opinion of many people. Surveys are used to collect this type of information. Researchers use questionnaires to obtain significant information to make data analysis for their studies. Click here to view the data analysis on means of communications in Excel.

ACCESS DATABASE FORMS AND MACROS

Controls are objects that present data, perform actions, and let you view and work with information that enhances the user interface, such as labels and images. A macro was created to open the interface Main Menu. Links were created to make the menu work. Click here to open Access Database with an interface.

SURVEYS AND QUESTIONNAIRES IN HTML

A researh project requires a reasonable amount of information. Researchers must select a appropriate method to collect data to substantiate and validate their research question(s). Surveys and questionnaires are examples of data collecting methods.

ACCESS DATABASE MACROS

A macro is an instrument that allows you to automate tasks and add functionality to your forms, reports, and controls. E.g., if you add a command button to a form, you link the button’s On Click event to a macro and the macro contains the commands that you want the button to perform each time it is clicked. QUIZ IN HTML

The aim of a quizz is to determine a winner from a group of contestant. The contestant with the highest score usually wins. Quizzes are creative, informative and fun for learners to test themselves. The learners enjoy it when they can practise a test again until they know the content of the concepts. Click here to test  my adapted ready made quiz on Access Reports.

Bookmarks

When you read a book and you want to get back to the page in that specific book, you stick a piece of paper inside your book to know at what page you left off. You bookmarked it. Whilst you bookmark a website on the Internet, you actually are telling your computer to remember the URL of that website. A bookmark is just links to Web sites that you visit repeatedly or want to keep handy for reference at a later stage.
Bookmarking serves numerous purposes. Sometimes several people use bookmarks as a way to save their desired websites, when they are preparing for an assignment or they just like the websites. At that moment, the problem arises of how do you remember to get to it again? You simply bookmark it! It is also essential that you should organise your bookmarks in a manner that makes it easy to find and apply. You can arrange them by subject theme or by class.
The topic of my research project for Computer Applications Technology (CAT) will focus on the Learning Disability of Dyslexia in the CAT classroom. The criteria will emphasise on how these learners learn and perform in the classroom and it also inspects the approach of how CAT educators convey information to accommodate the disability of the specific learner.
The sub topics and bookmarks in the sub topics will include the following:
A.  Learning Disability of Dyslexia in the CAT classroom.
The teaching methods and styles used by the CAT educator.

Excel self marking quiz

You can create a self-marking quiz to use with your classes using Excel. It is straightforward by using basic functions. You can create your own quiz by creating questions and detractors, arranging the questions and detractors, inserting a combo box onto the worksheet, scoring the test, adding the score and concealing all the scoring. Click here and explore about my research topic as a self-marking quiz in Excel.
